It is time to start off our CEU season here with GAAAM.
Hamilton Rotte, LAc is coming to talk to us about Channel Palpation all the way from Florida! Hamilton Rotte is a clinician, educator and author. He is specialized in the treatment of pain management. He graduated from American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in San Francisco in 2001. He is NCCAOM certified in Acupuncture and Herbal medicine. Hamilton studied in Hangzhou, China and completed post-graduate work in Chendgdu, China, specializing in Internal Medicine, Gynecology and Diabetes. Hamilton is a faculty member at Academy of Chinese Culture and Health Sciences in Oakland, CA. In 2012 he published a book with his mentor, Leon Hammer, MD titled Chinese Herbal Medicine, The Formulas of Dr. John H. F. Shen. In his spare time Hamilton enjoys playing music, gardening and cooking.
In this seminar, tudents will learn to palpate the 12 regular channels as well as the abdomen, and learn to perceive palpated changes at the acupuncture points in the manner described in the book Applied Channel Theory in Chinese Medicine by Wang Ju Yi and Jason Robertson. They will learn to integrate channel palpation findings into other diagnostic modalities including pulse, asking diagnosis and observation methods. Point location, indications and combinations will be included as well as a discussion of how channel palpation can inform herbal medicine treatments. The seminar will emphasize hands-on practice of palpation skills.
The first day will address diagnosis and treatment of internal medical conditions and the second day will address musculoskeletal conditions.

Included in the cost of the seminar is a 110 page book that describes channel changes, uses and location of individual points and point pairs.

Park inside the Cancer Parking Deck immediately on the right. Walk into connected building which is 340. You’ll pass a greeting station on your right where you can ask for directions. Keep walking forward; you’ll walk through a stretch of hallway and into building 320. There’s a cafe on your left and media center on your right. Just past the cafe is an elevator on your left. Take elevator to 2nd floor, exit to the right walk forward and you'll see classroom first room on the right.
